Rescue 179 Rescue 179 is a 1983 Pierce on a Ford F700 Chassis. According to Chief Morgan the truck is in amazing condition for its age and the 14 foot walk around rescue body was the size that they were looking for. The truck features a 3 year old, 25 kw Onan PTO Generator, two 1500 watt scene lights, cord reels, and a 12,000 pound winch. Over the next few weeks the York Fire Department will be outfitting & re-lettering the truck. They hope to have it in service by the first week of April. More pictures will be coming as the truck get ready for service in York. |
