Pavilion - York Ambulance Involved in MVA - Thursday-
January 3rd, 2008 Thursday afternoon York Fire Dept. Ambulance was involved in a MVA at the intersection of Telephone Road (Rt. 20) and South Street Road in the Town of Pavilion. The ambulance was responding in Emergency Mode with lights and siren activated when the accident happened. York 845 was T-Boned on the passenger side of the ambulance. The Ambulance Driver was uninjured, the EMT suffered a broken nose, and the ALS Tech has a spinal injury. Andy Klein from Caledonia Ambulance Medic 77 was the ALS Tech. He is recovering at Strong Memorial Hospital and would welcome any and all visitors. No information available on the patient or the driver of the other vehicle involved. The driver of the other vehicle ran a stop sign, hit the ambulance, and then the ambulance went off the road and rolled over one time down a 20 foot embankment, landing on its wheels. Photos have been provided, pictures of where the accident happened and of York 845. Thank you to John Morgan for the updated information on the accident. We will try to keep you updated on Andy's progress and the possibility of any benefits for Andy and details become available. |
