Controlled Burn - Sparta - Saturday - June 16th, 2007

On Saturday June 16th the Sparta Fire Department conducted alive burn exercise in an old home at 7904 Sparta Springwater TL Rd. in the Town of Sparta. Sparta and surrounding departments had the opportunity to conducted training evolution's on the house prior to Saturdays drill. Groveland Engine 324 set up a draft at a pond on the neighboring property and supplied Springwater Engine 544 through 400' LDH. Springwater placed hand lines to protect exposures to the North of the fire building while Sparta Engine 554 set up to draft from two port-a-tanks. Sparta set up hand lines to protect exposures on the South side while a tanker shuttle was being set up.
