Tire Fire - Pavilion - Saturday - April 21st, 2007 On Saturday April 21st., The Pavilion Fire Department was dispatched to a tire fire at R W Taylor Trucking & Excavating on route 246 in the Town of Covington. A large column of black smoke could be seen for miles as fire equipment from three county's responded to the fire. Tires that were used for covering a silage bunker were burning when fire units arrived on the scene. Departments assisting Pavilion were LeRoy, Stafford, York, Perry and Perry Center.
