Controlled Burn ~ Leicester ~ Sunday ~ November 12th, 2006

On Sunday November 12th  The Leicester Fire Department conducted a live burn exercise at 49 Pleasant St. in the Village of Leicester.  This house had been  heavily damaged by fire on August 28th. Four Port-a-Tanks and multiple hand lines were set up as well as a master stream to cover exposures on both sides and across the Street.  A tanker shuttle was set up to supply the Port-a-Tanks and Two LDH Supply Lines were laid precautionary from hydrants but not charged. Leicester was assisted by Cuylerville, York / Retsof, Mount Morris, and Perry Fire Departments and Cuylerville Ambulance.  Story and Photos by Jay Lynch.
