Lake Rescue - Hemlock - Monday September 4th, 2006

The Hemlock Fire Department, Livonia Fire Department, Livonia EMS and Livonia ALS were dispatched to a reported man in the water on Hemlock Lake the Labor Day Morning, Monday September 4th, 2006.  The victim had been rescued from the water by a fisherman.  Responding rescuers transported the victim to Livonia Ambulance by boat, where the victim was transported to an area hospital.  An intense search continued incase there were more victims in the water, do to the first victim being unconscious.  It was later confirmed that there were no other victims.  East Avon filled in for Livonia and Hemlock Fire Departments.  Lakeville stood by in Livonia with a Rescue and an additional boat, if it were needed.  Assisting at the scene was the Livingston and Ontario County Sheriff's Offices and the Honeoye Fire Department.  Photos provided by Jeffrey Arnold.
