The Caledonia Fire Department with Mumford Fire Department automatic mutual aid and the Caledonia Ambulance with ALS were dispatched to a reported possible house fire on Alpine Lane just after noon on Friday July 29th, 2011.  Caledonia FD went on location with a house fire and requested mutual to the scene from Avon, East Avon, York, Scottsville, Churchville, and Clifton Fire Departments.  Leroy Fire Department filled in at the Caledonia Fire Station, Lima and Lakeville Fire Departments filled in for East Avon, and Cuylerville filled in for York Fire Department.  Unknown if the Monroe County Companies had fill ins.  The Livingston County Office of Emergency Management is investigating the cause of the fire.  Assisting at the scene was the Livingston County Sheriff's Office, the New York State Police, and the Caledonia Village Police Department.
