High Angle Rescue - Conesus - Tuesday - February
12th, 2008 The Conesus Fire Department and Livonia Ambulance and ALS were dispatched to Mission Road in the area of Vineyard Road for a 15 year-old male that fell about 75 feet into a ravine on Tuesday, February 12th, 2008 . The victim was hiking with his friend, also 15, and two dogs in woods off Mission Road. The victim lost his footing and slipped into the ravine. Rescue crews from Conesus and Livonia Fire/EMS worked for about two hours to pull the teen out. The victim was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, with injuries that included possible broken ribs. The Ontario County Rope Rescue Team, Livingston County Sheriff's Office, New York State DEC, and the New York State Police also assisted at the scene. Story and Photos provided by Jeffrey Arnold. |
