Mt. Morris Fire Chief Joe Gervase advises that on Friday June 30th, 2006 he received confirmation from F.E.M.A. that the Village of Mt. Morris Fire Department will be receiving a Fire Act Grant for 2006.  On Saturday July 1st, 2006 the officers and members from Mt. Morris were able to test the new aerial device they would purchase with the Grant Money.  Unfortunately do cuts to the Fire Act Grant by the Government, the hopes of getting a 100 Foot Tiller Aerial device won't happen.  Instead, because of the budge cuts, the only aerial device that Mt. Morris will be able to afford to purchase with the Fire Act Grant is pictured here going thru rigorous testing by the officers and member of the Mt. Morris Fire Department.

Genesee Valley Express - Groveland - Saturday June 19th, 2004

While responding to the Livingston County Equipment Show in Lakeville, this pumper lost its speed lay on 390 near Exit 6.  A NYS Trooper saw it and advised Livingston County E911 of the same.  However the Trooper did not notice which department it was and the victim did not answer on the radio when called.  However, West Sparta Car 5802 called on Channel 2 and stated, "Billy, I think that is my father, C58, with Pumper 585".

Several years ago Charlie Parent laid a 5 inch supply line on 390, We think Gerry Levey was laying an Attack Line to assist.
